Car Shipping Guide from the UAE

Everything before shipping your car from the UAE: enclosed carrier, container or RoRo, the documents, what sets the price and the mistakes that delay a shipment.

Shipping methods

Three ways to ship your car from the UAE

Enclosed car carrier

The usual way to Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain: the car rides inside an enclosed carrier across the land borders to the delivery city.

Sea container

The car is secured inside a closed container from Jebel Ali or Khalifa — the most protective option for valuable cars and distant destinations.

RoRo vessel

The car is driven onto the vessel and secured on its decks — a lower-cost option for destinations served by RoRo lines.

The steps from the UAE to delivery

  1. Prepare the ownership card and the owner's ID, plus a bank clearance if the car is financed.
  2. Get the export certificate from the licensing authority in the emirate.
  3. Document the car's condition with photos before loading and hand you a copy.
  4. Load it on the carrier or into the container and prepare the bill of lading.
  5. Cross or ship, then clear customs in the destination country and deliver.

Before loading

  • Don't leave personal belongings inside the car; we ship them separately.
  • Leave fuel at around a quarter of the tank.
  • Make sure the name matches across the ownership card, ID and recipient details.
  • Check the destination country's car import rules before shipping.
