Yes, a large villa in Al Ain can be moved with its majlis and every room in a single day, provided the crew and trucks are sized to the real volume of the house, not just its bedroom count. Al Basmah International Shipping, as home movers in Al Ain, sends a crew big enough to start at first light, pack, dismantle, load and drive, then assemble everything in the new home before nightfall, from Al Jimi and Al Muwaiji to Zakher, Al Hili and Al Towayya. Three-bedroom villas start from AED 3,700, with updates on WhatsApp.

How do we move a whole villa in one day?
The trick is not speed but splitting the work. Instead of the whole crew moving through rooms one after another, several small teams work at the same time, and the first truck starts loading before packing is finished in the rest of the house. Here is a typical day for a five-bedroom villa with a separate majlis:
| Time | At the old home | At the new home |
|---|---|---|
| Dawn to mid-morning | Kitchen packed, beds and wardrobes dismantled | Nothing yet; house opened and entrance prepared |
| Mid-morning | First truck loaded with bedrooms | — |
| Late morning | Majlis, living room and annex packed | First truck arrives, bedrooms assembled |
| Early afternoon | Second truck loaded with majlis and cartons | Second truck unloaded, majlis laid out |
| Late afternoon | Final check of courtyard, store and roof | Wardrobes assembled, cartons placed in rooms |
Times are approximate and shift with size and distance, but the principle holds: nobody waits for anybody.
The majlis: the heaviest room in the house
Al Ain majlis rooms are usually large, with long floor seating or heavy Arabic sofas, wide rugs, coffee tables, dallahs and serving ware. We treat the majlis as a separate home within the home:
- Floor seating: pieces numbered in their order along the wall, then folded and tied.
- Back cushions and pillows: in large clean bags, each set together.
- Rugs: swept and rolled pile-side out, never folded.
- Serving ware: dallahs, cups and incense burners in divided cartons, wrapped piece by piece.
- Heavy Arabic sofas: wrapped in blankets and moved on wheeled dollies rather than dragged.
At the new home the majlis is laid out in the same numbered order, so the family does not spend the evening rearranging it.
Heavy and valuable villa pieces
A twelve-seat dining table with a marble top, an iron safe in the bedroom, a piano in the living room, a crystal chandelier in the entrance hall: these pieces are not treated like the rest. The marble top is separated from its base and fixed upright inside a wooden crate, because flat marble can crack under its own weight at the first bump. Safes and pianos are lifted with dedicated gear and secured at the front of the truck. Chandeliers are taken down on request, with each crystal drop wrapped on its own.
Show these pieces clearly in the video and give a rough weight if you know it, so the crew arrives with enough people and tools from the start instead of discovering them halfway through the day.
Courtyard and outdoor furniture
Many Al Ain villas have an outdoor seating area, tent or shade structure in the courtyard, and sometimes large play equipment such as swings and slides. Whatever can be dismantled is taken apart and bundled; anything set in concrete stays put. These items load last and unload last, since they are not needed in the first days.

Moves from Al Ain to Abu Dhabi or Dubai are also available, and countrywide pricing is explained in home movers in the UAE.
The road from Al Ain to Abu Dhabi or Dubai is a fairly long highway run, so for these moves we load one large truck where possible rather than making several trips, and send you an estimated arrival time as the truck leaves Al Ain so the new home is open.
Steps from request to hand-over
- WhatsApp message: old and new districts, number of rooms, and whether there is a separate majlis or annex.
- Video of the home: do not forget the store, roof, staff rooms and courtyard.
- Crew and trucks set: we tell you how many people and trucks, and agree the start time.
- Packing and dismantling: teams working on rooms in parallel.
- Transport: closed trucks leave in batches as loads are ready.
- Assembly and hand-over: we check with you that every room is complete before leaving.
Packing the kitchen and rooms
Villa kitchens in Al Ain are large and often hold big cooking pots for gatherings, wide trays and several appliances. We use the big pots as containers: smaller pans go inside and the whole thing is sealed with film. Trays and platters are wrapped and stood upright in wide cartons. Small electrical appliances go into one carton labelled “kitchen – appliances” so they do not get mixed in with the crockery.

Bedrooms and children’s rooms
Master bedrooms in villas are often full sets: a large bed, a dressing table with mirror and a six-door wardrobe. The mirror comes off the dressing table into a rigid box, and the wardrobe is taken down to panels. In children’s rooms, small beds and toys go into separate cartons bearing each child’s name.
Internal stairs and entrances
Most Al Ain villas are two storeys with an internal staircase, some wide and some with a tight turn. Large pieces come down on straps across two movers’ shoulders, and anything that will not clear the turn is dismantled. Outer entrances have large iron gates that open fully, and we ask for cars to be moved so the truck can get close.
- Measure the stair turn if you have a large bed or sofa that cannot be taken apart.
- Let neighbours know if the truck will stand in front of their homes for a while.
- Open the outer gate of the new home from the morning.
- Protect marble stairs with mats before heavy items are carried over them.

Arranging the new home
On arrival we start with bedrooms so they are ready for the night, then the majlis, where the family receives visitors in the first days, then the kitchen. Cartons go to rooms by number, wardrobes are assembled and their doors adjusted, and mirrors go back on the dressing tables.

If the new home is in its final finishing stage, belongings can wait in furniture storage in Al Ain.
Before moving day in Al Ain
- Close the electricity and water account with Al Ain Distribution Company at the old home and open it at the new one.
- Decide what stays behind: outdoor tents, palm planters, damaged furniture.
- Prepare the family’s food for the day in advance; the kitchen will be packed from the morning.
- Set aside one room in the new home for personal items and papers.
- Keep gold, cash and medicines with you in the car.

| Packing level | Serving ware, china and chandeliers |
| Dismantling | Full bedroom sets, large wardrobes and kitchens |
| Timing | A one-day move may need a larger crew |

Tips for moving large villas
- Start sorting two weeks early; villas collect more than you expect.
- Pick a milder day if you can, or start at dawn in summer.
- Name one family member to deal with the supervisor so instructions do not clash.
- Ask the team about optional insurance if the majlis holds valuable pieces.
- Ask for WhatsApp photos of the majlis layout before packing so you can restore it.
Sending light items abroad by air
For families with a son or daughter studying or working outside the country, urgent light items such as clothes, books and small devices can go by air freight, while furniture travels by road to Saudi Arabia and the Gulf or by sea to farther destinations. Details are in furniture moving in and out of Al Ain. If you only need single pieces or office furniture moved, read furniture movers in Al Ain.
Frequently asked questions
Can a six-bedroom villa really be moved in one day?
In most cases yes, if access is easy and we start early with enough people and two trucks. For very large homes we suggest packing the kitchen and stores the day before.
Will you set up the majlis in the same layout?
We number and photograph the pieces before packing and lay them out in the same order at the new home.
Do you move from Al Ain to Abu Dhabi or Dubai?
Yes. The price is set once we know the volume and destination; send the details on WhatsApp.
Do you dismantle and assemble bedroom sets?
Yes. Beds, dressing tables and wardrobes are taken apart and rebuilt as part of the service.
Do you work on holidays and occasions?
Yes, and requests reach us on WhatsApp at any time. Slots before Eid fill fast.
Can you move outdoor tents and garden furniture?
Yes, if they can be dismantled; mention them at the survey so space is planned in the truck.
How do I follow moving day?
The supervisor sends WhatsApp messages and photos at every stage at both homes.
