Furniture Moving In and Out of Fujairah +971557643821 | Furniture Moves from Fujairah to the West Coast and the Gulf

Furniture Moving In and Out of Fujairah
Guide summary

Furniture moves from Fujairah to Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi across the mountains, or by road to Oman, Saudi Arabia and the Gulf. Closed trucks, secured loads and WhatsApp updates to delivery.

Fujairah sits on the east coast, with the Hajar Mountains between it and Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi, so moving furniture from here to the west coast means planning for a mountain road and packing that copes with long gradients. We move your furniture within Fujairah between its districts and villages, from Fujairah to any emirate, by road to Oman, Saudi Arabia and the rest of the Gulf, and by sea to distant countries, with light urgent items sent by air. Send photos of your home and the destination on WhatsApp at +971557643821.

East Coast to West Coast

  • Two main roads through the mountains: Sheikh Khalifa Highway with its tunnels towards Dubai, and the Masafi and Al Dhaid road towards Sharjah and the northern emirates.
  • Dubai is about an hour and a half by truck; Abu Dhabi is around three hours.
  • Oman is close to Fujairah, and reaching it by road is easier than from any west-coast emirate.
  • We cover Fujairah city, Dibba Al Fujairah, Masafi, Qidfa, Al Bidiyah and Mirbah.
  • Moves inside the emirate start from AED 920 for a studio.

A mountain in the middle: what it means for your move

Every move from Fujairah to the west coast crosses the Hajar range. The roads are modern and well surfaced, but there is a long climb and then a descent, and a loaded truck comes down slowly on engine braking. That affects three things: journey time, how the furniture is secured inside the box, and when we set off.

Sheikh Khalifa Highway

Crosses the mountains through tunnels and reaches Dubai’s ring roads; the fastest way to Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.

Masafi and Al Dhaid road

Runs through Masafi then Al Dhaid; best for Sharjah, Ajman and Umm Al Quwain, with a branch to Ras Al Khaimah.

Coastal road

Links Fujairah city with Qidfa, Al Bidiyah and Dibba to the north; used for moves within the emirate.

Distances and drive times from Fujairah

Times are estimates for a loaded truck leaving Fujairah city and include the normal slowdown on gradients. A private car covers the same road faster.

Destination Approx. distance Truck time Preferred route
Masafi 35 km About 35 minutes Fujairah to Masafi road
Dibba Al Fujairah 60 to 70 km About 1 hour Coastal road north
Sharjah About 110 km About 1.5 hours Masafi then Al Dhaid
Dubai 120 to 130 km 1.5 hours to 1 hour 45 minutes Sheikh Khalifa Highway
Ras Al Khaimah About 110 km About 1.5 hours Masafi then the Ras Al Khaimah road
Ajman and Umm Al Quwain 110 to 120 km About 1.5 hours Masafi and Al Dhaid
Al Ain 190 to 200 km About 2.5 hours Sheikh Khalifa Highway then the Al Ain road
Abu Dhabi 250 to 270 km Around 3 hours Sheikh Khalifa Highway then the Dubai to Abu Dhabi road

Because an Abu Dhabi or Al Ain run takes half a day on the road, we load early and send the customer an approximate arrival time on WhatsApp, so keys or a lift booking can be arranged at the other end.

Fujairah areas we serve

Most residents live in Fujairah city, but requests also come from the coastal towns to the north and from Masafi inland. We also load from neighbouring Kalba and Khor Fakkan if your furniture is there.

Area Districts and towns Loading notes
Central Fujairah Al Faseel, Hamad bin Abdullah Road, Mreishid, Sakamkam Mid-rise buildings, service lift coordination
City outskirts Madhab, Al Hail, Al Gurfa Villas and traditional houses, truck usually at the door
North coast Qidfa, Al Bidiyah, Mirbah, Al Aqah Houses and chalets along the coastal road
Dibba Al Fujairah Dibba and surroundings The far north, a long move within the emirate
Inland Masafi Mountain town on the road to the west coast
Neighbouring areas Kalba, Khor Fakkan Part of Sharjah, served from Fujairah

If the new home is not ready, the furniture can stay wrapped with us; details are in our guide to furniture storage in Fujairah.

The truck and securing the load on a mountain road

On flat roads, good loading order is enough. On gradients the load leans forward with every brake, so:

  • We use closed white box trucks with a hydraulic tail-lift, so heavy pieces are never lifted by hand.
  • Wardrobes and fridges are strapped to the box wall, with load bars behind each row.
  • The heaviest items go at the front near the cab, which takes pressure off the rear door on descents.
  • Table tops and glass get an extra layer, since vibration is higher in tunnels and bends.
  • A uniformed crew travels with the truck, unloads it and reassembles the furniture in the new home.

From Fujairah to Oman, Saudi Arabia and the Gulf

Fujairah’s advantage is that Oman is close by: the Khatmat Malaha crossing south of Kalba opens the road to Shinas, Sohar and on to Muscat, and Dibba borders the Musandam governorate. Moving furniture from Fujairah to Oman’s coastal cities is therefore shorter than from Dubai or Abu Dhabi.

  • Oman: by road through the crossing nearest the destination city.
  • Saudi Arabia: by road across to the west coast and through the Ghuwaifat crossing. Fujairah to the border is about 600 km, roughly seven hours by truck before the crossing. Cities and timings are in our guide to shipping from the UAE to Saudi Arabia.
  • Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain: by road through Saudi Arabia.
  • Distant countries: by sea in a container from whichever port suits the shipping line, which may be Fujairah port itself or one of the west-coast ports.

Air freight when it is urgent

We do not recommend flying furniture because of the cost, but light items you need on arrival, such as papers, a computer or work tools, can go by plane and get there before the truck or container.

Papers for leaving the country

No customs papers are needed between emirates. When leaving for Oman, Saudi Arabia or elsewhere, we prepare with you:

  1. Copies of your passport and Emirates ID.
  2. A numbered contents list matching the carton numbers.
  3. The receiver’s details at the destination.
  4. Invoices for new appliances, if any.

Each crossing has its own requirements, and the team tells you what the destination expects before loading.

How a move from Fujairah runs

  1. Photos or video: of the rooms, kitchen and large pieces, with the destination and floor.
  2. The plan: choosing the right mountain route, the truck size and packing.
  3. Price and date: we send the price and fix a day with an early start.
  4. Permits: lift booking and building permits in Fujairah and at the destination.
  5. Loading: dismantling, wrapping, numbering and securing inside the box.
  6. On the road: WhatsApp messages at departure, after crossing the mountains, at the border if any, and before arrival.
  7. Delivery: unloading, assembly and waste removal.

Packing that survives the bends

  • Inside Fujairah: stretch film, blankets and reinforced cartons.
  • To the west coast: we add corner protection and bubble wrap for glass and screens, and wrap thin chair and table legs individually.
  • Out of the UAE: wooden crates for marble, chandeliers and large mirrors, and moisture absorbers in sea-freight cartons.

Tape wardrobe doors shut with residue-free tape before wrapping. On mountain bends an unsecured door swings open inside the film and rubs against the next piece.

Tips for moving furniture from the east coast

  • Ask about mountain road conditions after heavy rain; we postpone departure if some roads are closed.
  • If your destination is a Dubai tower, check that the building allows unloading at the expected arrival time.
  • Keep important papers, gold and medicines with you.
  • Let large appliances dry for a full day before wrapping.
  • If you are moving to Oman, ask about restricted items there before filling the cartons.

Warning: Gas cylinders, fuel, flammable materials and fresh food are not loaded with furniture, especially on shipments crossing a border. If you want optional insurance on the shipment, ask the team before loading.

To compare the routes from every emirate, they are gathered in our guide to furniture moving in and out of the UAE.
