Our Industrial Area 18 branch: drop off or we collect
Having a branch in Industrial Area 18 saves Sharjah customers a lot of running around. A trader with a store in the nearby industrial areas can load the cartons into his own vehicle and reach us in minutes. We measure and weigh the cargo in front of him, build it onto pallets and give him the actual volume before he pays anything. If you would rather not deal with it, send your location on WhatsApp and a pickup vehicle with a crew comes to your home or warehouse.
The cost difference between the two is usually small, but it shows on small shipments: two or three cartons of spare parts are often cheaper to drop at the branch than to send a vehicle for. A full home or a truckload of stock is better collected from where it sits, so it is loaded once, straight into the truck, with no extra handling.
Branch drop-off
Bring the cargo to Industrial Area 18. We measure, wrap and palletise it, and it leaves on the next run to your city.
Collection from you
We come to your flat, villa or warehouse in Sharjah, dismantle, pack and load, then move it to the truck.
Dedicated truck
For large or urgent loads we book a full truck that leaves on the date you choose.
What we ship from Sharjah to Saudi Arabia
Sharjah is a trading and industrial city as much as a place to live, so a large share of what leaves it for the Kingdom is commercial cargo. Families, students and employees on the move make up much of the rest. The main types we handle:
- Commercial goods: auto and machinery spare parts, light building materials, electrical tools, clothing and textiles, housewares, accessories and shop supplies.
- Household items and furniture: bedrooms, majlis sets, kitchens, appliances, boxes of clothes and books, a whole home or just part of it.
- Cars: sedans, SUVs and pickups on an open or enclosed carrier.
- Small parcels: personal boxes, trade samples or gifts added to a shared load.
- Equipment: small workshop machines, generators, restaurant and commercial kitchen equipment, office hardware.
Commercial cargo from the industrial areas, SAIF Zone and Hamriyah Free Zone
We collect from every industrial area in Sharjah, as well as from Sharjah Airport International Free Zone (SAIF Zone) and Hamriyah Free Zone. Companies in both free zones know that goods leaving a free zone go through exit procedures inside the zone before the truck can move, so we agree the loading time with the owner once the exit paperwork is ready and the truck does not sit waiting at the gate.
Spare parts are one of the things we ship most from Sharjah, and they need careful handling: heavy, compact and made up of many different items. We stack the cartons on wooden pallets, heavy at the bottom and light on top, stretch-wrap the whole pallet and fix a sheet listing the carton numbers to it. Customs officers at the border then see cargo that is tidy and matches the packing list, which speeds up inspection and stops a small carton going astray between shipments.

Commercial cargo has two options. A shared load suits quantities smaller than a truck, and you pay only for your own volume. A full truck (a 12–13.6 m closed trailer, a 10-ton lorry, or a 5- or 7-ton dyna) suits large or urgent quantities. A shared load may wait a few days for the truck to fill; a dedicated truck leaves on your date.
Documents for commercial shipments: SABER, Fasah and the consignee’s CR
Saudi customs clearance is electronic through the Fasah platform, and any missing paper shows up there and holds the shipment at the border. That is why we check documents before loading, not after. Most commercial shipments need:
- A commercial invoice listing items, quantities and values, certified where required.
- A packing list that matches what is really in the cartons, with each carton’s number and contents.
- A certificate of origin. Goods of UAE or GCC origin with a GCC certificate of origin are exempt from customs duty.
- A SABER certificate for consumer products that require conformity, such as many electrical items and spare parts.
- SFDA requirements for food, cosmetics and medicines.
- A commercial registration (CR) for the consignee in Saudi Arabia; commercial imports cannot go in a private person’s name.
Remember that Saudi VAT of 15% applies to imports even when goods are duty-free. If your goods were imported into the UAE from another country and are being re-exported, the certificate of origin decides whether they benefit from the GCC exemption, so ask the team before pricing because it changes the numbers.
Warning: The most common reason commercial loads are held at the border is a packing list that does not match reality: an item left off, or more units than written. List everything as it is; inspection can open any carton.
Pickup areas across Sharjah
We cover all of Sharjah, and each area has its own character we prepare for before arriving:
- Al Nahda: many residential towers on the Dubai border and heavy rush-hour traffic, so we prefer morning pickups.
- Al Taawun: tall towers where the service lift must be booked with building management in advance.
- Al Khan: flats and towers near the sea with limited parking, so we agree where the truck stands a day ahead.
- Al Majaz: residential blocks and shops; we often collect shop stock and household items together.
- Muwaileh: residential compounds and villas, with streets that take medium trucks.
- Al Qasimia: older buildings, some without a large lift, so we plan for dismantling and carrying down the stairs.
- University City: students’ and faculty belongings, mostly boxes, books and electronics.
- Industrial areas and free zones: warehouses, workshops and palletised goods ready for the forklift.
If you live in Ajman or the nearby edge of Dubai, the branch is close to you as well; our Ajman to Saudi Arabia guide covers apartment moves there.
Moving household items from Sharjah to Saudi Arabia
A family moving from Sharjah to the Kingdom wants to find its home there as it left it, and that starts with packing, not with the truck. Our crew arrives with everything: double-wall cartons in several sizes, bubble wrap, moving blankets, stretch film, corner protectors and strong tape. We dismantle beds and wardrobes and put the screws in numbered bags taped to the piece itself, so nobody hunts for them at reassembly.

How we pack each type of item
- Kitchen: every plate and glass is wrapped on its own and stood upright in a small carton; a big carton full of glass gets heavy and its base gives way.
- TVs and mirrors: bubble wrap, then a dedicated carton or a wooden frame for large pieces.
- Sofas and majlis sets: stretch film to keep dust off the fabric, with a moving blanket over it in the truck.
- Fridge and washing machine: emptied and dried a day before, and the washer drum secured so it does not shift on the road.
- Clothes: medium cartons or sealed bags, with the room written on each carton.
After packing we write a detailed contents list in Arabic or English. It is not a formality: Saudi customs asks for it for personal effects, and it helps you check that everything arrived.
Documents for personal effects
- Copy of the owner’s passport.
- Copy of the Saudi ID, iqama or Saudi residence visa.
- A detailed inventory in Arabic or English.
- The items must be used personal effects; new goods in commercial quantities are dutiable.
Keep your Saudi mobile number active when the shipment arrives, as clearance or the delivery driver may need to reach you before handover.
Car shipping from Sharjah to Saudi Arabia
We ship cars from Sharjah on an open multi-car carrier, or on an enclosed carrier for a new or high-value car, or for an owner who wants it kept out of the dust and sun all the way. On an enclosed carrier the car is fitted with a protective cover and its wheels are strapped to the deck.

Check the age rule before you book: a used car imported into Saudi Arabia must not be more than 5 years old from its model year, counted back and not including the current year. Documents needed:
- Vehicle registration (UAE mulkiya).
- Export certificate from the vehicle licensing authority in Sharjah, with the plates handed in.
- Copy of the owner’s passport or ID.
- The car handed over completely empty of personal belongings.
Special cases, such as a car registered to a company or an owner who is not in the UAE, are checked with the team before shipping so the car is not held at the border.
The road route from Sharjah into the Kingdom
Cargo leaves Sharjah heading west through Dubai and Abu Dhabi to the Al Sila area at the far west of Abu Dhabi emirate, where Al Ghuwaifat sits on the UAE side and Al Batha on the Saudi side. Driving from the northern emirates to the border takes roughly 4–6 hours. After Al Batha the truck passes Al Ahsa (Hofuf), then branches east to Dammam and Khobar, or west to Riyadh and on to Qassim, Jeddah, Makkah or Madinah. For reference, Dubai to Riyadh by road is about 1,060 km, and Sharjah is a little further.
At the border the cargo is inspected and matched to the customs declaration, which is where tidy packing and complete paperwork pay off. In peak periods, such as the days before Ramadan and Eid and the Hajj season, truck queues at the border grow, so allow a day or two of margin if you have a fixed deadline.
Transit times from Sharjah by Saudi city
These are approximate door-to-door land times including clearance. A shared load may take a few extra days until the truck fills; a dedicated truck leaves on your date.
| City | Approximate time | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Dammam, Khobar, Dhahran, Al Ahsa, Jubail | 2–3 days | Closest to Al Batha |
| Riyadh, Al Kharj | 2–4 days | The destination Sharjah businesses ask for most |
| Qassim, Hail | 3–5 days | North via Riyadh |
| Jeddah, Makkah, Taif, Madinah, Yanbu | 3–5 days | Crosses the Kingdom east to west |
| Tabuk, Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, Najran | 4–6 days | Far north and south |
Sea freight for large commercial loads
For full containers, or very large quantities going to Jeddah, sea freight is worth pricing. Containers leave Jebel Ali or Khalifa port for King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam in about 2–3 days’ sailing, or Jeddah Islamic Port in about 5–7 days, plus port handling and clearance. For ordinary shipments the road is quicker and simpler; the sea makes sense when one container costs less than the number of trucks you would need. Send the quantity and destination on WhatsApp and we will price both options so you can compare.
Urgent air freight from Sharjah airport
When the shipment is small and time is short, such as a spare part for a workshop that has stopped, samples for an exhibition, or documents and devices someone needs within two days, we send it by air. Sharjah International Airport is close to the industrial areas and our branch, and Dubai and Abu Dhabi airports are also options, landing at King Khalid in Riyadh, King Abdulaziz in Jeddah or King Fahd in Dammam. It usually takes 1–3 days including clearance.

- Air freight is charged on actual or volumetric weight, whichever is higher, so it does not suit large furniture.
- Lithium batteries, liquids and perfumes are restricted on aircraft, and some are not accepted at all.
- Air prices depend on weight, size and destination; send the details on WhatsApp to get a price.
Prices from Sharjah to Saudi Arabia start from
These are starting prices in UAE dirhams. The final price depends on volume, weight, destination city, packing and documents.
| Service | Starts from |
|---|---|
| Furniture and household items, shared truck | 90 AED per cubic metre |
| Small parcels by land | 45 AED |
| Sedan on an open carrier | 2,000 AED |
| SUV on an open carrier | 2,750 AED |
| Car on an enclosed carrier | 4,100 AED |
| Dedicated truck, air freight, sea containers | Ask for a price on WhatsApp |
What moves the price up or down
- Volume in cubic metres: the basis of shared-load pricing; good packing cuts wasted space.
- Weight: matters for spare parts and metal goods, since a truck hits its weight limit before it is full.
- Destination city: Dammam is closer than Jeddah, Jazan further than Riyadh.
- Packing type: wooden crates and pallets add cost but save on breakage.
- Collection method: dropping cargo at the branch costs less than collection from a distant site.
- Documents and clearance: a commercial load needing more certificates differs from personal effects.
For prices from the other emirates, see our UAE to Saudi Arabia shipping guide.
Prohibited and restricted items
Some things cannot enter the Kingdom at all, and some need a permit before shipping. Any one of them holds the whole shipment, not just that item.
- Prohibited: narcotics, alcohol, pork products, gambling equipment, counterfeit goods.
- Prohibited without permits: weapons and ammunition.
- Prior permit needed: drones and some medicines.
- SFDA requirements: commercial food, cosmetics and medicines.
Warning: Do not put personal medicines or large quantities of perfume inside furniture boxes without telling the team. Anything found at inspection that is not on the list delays the entire shipment.

- Clearance at Al Batha through Fasah, with team updates on WhatsApp at every stage.
- Delivery to the receiver’s door in the Saudi city, with the cartons checked in front of them.
If you have more than one pickup point, say a warehouse in the industrial area and a flat in Al Taawun, tell us at the start so we can route both on the same day.
Tips from the road
A shipment with a well-written list crosses the border faster than a lighter one with a vague list. Put the receiver’s name, number and city on every pallet, not on one carton only.
- Traders new to the Saudi market should confirm whether their products need SABER before buying from the supplier, not after loading.
- In summer, do not ship candles or heat-sensitive goods without insulated packing.
- Photograph valuable furniture before packing; the photos help you at delivery.
- Do not leave cancelling the car’s plates to the last day; the export certificate is required to move it.
- Ask about a shared load if you have no fixed deadline; it costs less than a dedicated truck.
