Cargo goes by sea or air; there is no practical road route on this lane. Air freight from the UAE to Poland

What we need from you to ship a heavy machine

Before choosing the container we ask for four things: full dimensions after dismantling if it can be dismantled, the gross weight and centre of gravity, photos from every side, and the lifting points the manufacturer allows. A machine two and a half metres tall, for example, won’t fit a standard 40 ft but may fit a high cube; anything taller needs an open-top container it can be craned into. We also ask about the loading site in the UAE: is there a forklift with enough capacity, or do we need a mobile crane? On the Polish side we ask how it will be unloaded, because a flat rack can’t be emptied with a small forklift.

If the goods are in a free zone in Jebel Ali or Sharjah and sold to a customer in Poland, the papers are prepared as a re-export, and the invoice travelling with the shipment must match what is actually in the container in type, quantity and weight.
