Furniture Storage Company in Dubai +971557643821 – Apartment and Villa Furniture Stored in Wooden Vaults, Collected from Every Dubai Area

Furniture Storage Company in Dubai Apartment and Villa Furniture Stored in Wooden Vaults, Collected from Every Dubai Area
Guide summary

Apartment and villa furniture storage in Dubai inside closed wooden vaults: collected from any tower or villa, wrapped and photographed, and delivered back when your new home is ready.

In Dubai we collect your flat or villa furniture from any area, from the Marina towers to the family homes of Mirdif, wrap it and pack it inside closed wooden storage vaults in a ventilated warehouse, then bring it back whenever you ask. Rent is monthly, starting from AED 135 for a small space and from AED 920 for the contents of a one-bedroom flat, and the photo inventory reaches you on WhatsApp on collection day. The one thing you need to arrange before we arrive is the move permit from your building management, and this guide explains how.

Before you store in Dubai

  • Request the move permit from building management and book the service lift and loading bay a few days ahead.
  • Send flat photos, your floor number and the expected storage period on WhatsApp.
  • Your furniture goes into a closed wooden vault of its own, never loose among other people’s things.
  • Take out one item or the whole vault, delivered anywhere in Dubai or beyond.

Storing furniture in Dubai starts at the building management office

Most Dubai residents live in towers and communities whose management controls furniture movement. No moving crew comes in and no furniture leaves the main entrance without a permit, and many buildings allow moves only during set hours. Delays with this paperwork are what most often push back collection day, not the truck or the crew.

The move-out permit

It is usually issued by the building management office or through the developer’s community portal. Typical documents are a copy of the tenancy contract, the resident’s ID, sometimes a no-objection letter from the landlord, and the moving company’s details. Some buildings ask for a refundable deposit returned once corridors and lifts are checked. We send you whatever company details management asks for as soon as the date is confirmed.

Booking the lift and loading bay

Towers usually have a single service lift booked by the hour, and a loading bay in the basement or behind the building where the truck may only stand during the booked slot. Ask management about the basement entrance height; some car parks will not take a large truck, in which case we send two smaller trucks instead of one. Tell us how long your booking is so we can size the crew to finish within it.

Warning: If the lift booking runs out before the last piece is down, you may need to book another day. That is why in towers we wrap the inner rooms before the lift slot starts, leaving the booked time for carrying down only.

Villas and townhouses are simpler: notifying community security and bringing the truck through the gate is usually enough. Narrow internal roads in some communities do mean we need to know in advance where the truck can park.

Wooden storage vaults: how your Dubai furniture is kept

Instead of stacking customers’ furniture loose on open racks, we put each customer’s belongings into a large closed wooden vault of their own. The vault is loaded in front of you or right after unloading, closed, numbered, lifted onto a pallet and lined up in the warehouse. Your things never mix with anyone else’s, and nothing is stacked on top of them.

Storage racks inside the Dubai warehouse
  • Dust protection: closed timber keeps out the summer dust that finds its way into any warehouse.
  • Airflow: small vents in the vault let air through so moisture does not condense.
  • Clear organisation: each vault has a number recorded in the inventory, so it is located at once when you ask.
  • Oversized pieces: long sofas, wardrobe panels and headboards that do not fit go on steel racks beside the vaults under dedicated covers.

A one-bedroom flat usually fills one or two vaults, while a villa needs several vaults plus rack space for long items. The team confirms the number after the video survey.

Who stores furniture in Dubai?

  • Tenants between leases: a contract ends mid-month and the new flat is not handed over for two or three weeks. This is the case we see most in Dubai, where people change areas often.
  • Owners renovating: a new kitchen or new flooring needs an empty flat, and contractors work faster without furniture in the way.
  • Long-term travellers: a work posting abroad or an extended summer break.
  • People leaving Dubai: the lease ends and they fly out before deciding where the furniture should go.
  • Shops and offices: office furniture from Business Bay moving into a smaller space, or shop stock in Deira that has outgrown the premises.
  • Students: university housing handed back for the summer, with the student returning months later.

Office furniture and shop stock in Dubai

Small businesses in Business Bay, Deira and Al Qusais move offices often, and sometimes the space shrinks before the owner decides what to do with the spare desks, chairs and filing cabinets. We dismantle desks, number cabinet drawers and put files into sealed boxes labelled by department, so a single file can be pulled out on its own when you need it. Dry shop stock is accepted too, as long as it is not food, liquid products or flammable perfume. An office in a commercial tower follows the same permit and lift-booking rules, and permitted moving hours are often after office hours or at the weekend.

What goes into the vault and what stays out

We accept household and office furniture, appliances, carpets, boxes, bicycles and children’s things, as long as they are clean and dry. We refuse food of every kind, liquids, cleaning products and chemicals, gas cylinders, paint, aerosols and anything flammable, cash, jewellery and original official papers, live plants, and weapons. This is not fussiness: a closed wooden vault with one forgotten carton of juice means a smell that never leaves the sofa.

Steps to store your furniture in Dubai

  1. WhatsApp video call: we walk through the flat with you and ask about the floor, the lift booking and the duration.
  2. Price and date: you receive the collection, packing and monthly rent figures, and you book the lift for the agreed date.
  3. Collection: the crew arrives before the lift slot and starts dismantling and wrapping inside the flat.
  4. Packing: each material gets the right protection, and boxes are labelled with room and contents.
  5. Inventory: photos and numbers for every item and box are sent on WhatsApp.
  6. Storage: the wooden vaults are loaded, closed and placed on pallets.
  7. Retrieval: a message with what you want and the address, and we set the delivery day.

If you would rather hand over a key or documents, or talk the details through in person, our Dubai branch is in Deira on Port Saeed Street.

Wrapping flat furniture before it goes into the vault

Much of the furniture in Dubai flats is light and made of engineered wood, which suffers from repeated dismantling more than solid wood does. So we take apart only what will not pass through the door or the lift, and keep each piece’s screws in a numbered bag fixed to it.

  • Sealed mattress bags for every mattress.
  • Breathable cloth covers for leather and velvet sofas.
  • Corner guards for glass tables and wardrobe doors.
  • Bubble wrap and rigid cardboard for mirrors, paintings and screens.
  • Silica packs in drawers and clothing boxes.

In high-rise towers, ask the crew to pad the lift doors and floor before carrying anything down. Most managements require it, and a scratch in the lift can be deducted from the deposit you paid the building.

Between leases: is storage cheaper than extending your rent?

Every Dubai tenant whose move-out and move-in dates do not line up asks this. The sum is simple: compare an extra month’s rent on the old flat, plus electricity, water and cooling charges, with one month of storage rent plus collection and delivery. For smaller flats storage is often the lower figure, while for a gap of only a few days extending may be easier. Send us both dates and the flat size and we will give you the number to compare.

There is also a benefit the numbers do not show: with your furniture in the warehouse you hand back the old flat clean and empty on time, wait for the new one without pressure, and request delivery once its lift is booked. Many of our Dubai customers spend those days in a hotel or with relatives, carrying only their suitcases.

What to keep with you and what to leave in the vault

  • Keep with you: two weeks of clothes, chargers, medicines, official papers, work equipment.
  • Leave in the vault: furniture, large appliances, kitchenware, off-season clothes, books.
  • Put a “first night” box at the front of the vault: bed sheets, towels, mugs, a screwdriver.

Appliances, carpets and curtains before they enter the vault

The fridge is switched off a day before collection and left open until completely dry, the washing machine is drained, and dismantled air-conditioner pipes are capped. Carpets are cleaned, dried and rolled, never folded, because folding leaves lines in the pile that are hard to remove. Curtains are washed and folded into clean boxes with a silica pack. Screens stand upright in the vault with nothing on top.

Storage conditions through a humid Dubai summer

Summer humidity near the Dubai coast runs far higher than inland, and furniture sealed tight while still holding the flat’s moisture comes out smelling stale. That is why we rely on ventilation rather than airtight sealing, raise everything off the floor on pallets, and treat the warehouse against pests on a regular schedule.

You can visit your vault by appointment if you want to check it yourself or take something out. Insurance is optional: ask the team about optional insurance before collection.

Getting your furniture out of the vault and delivered

If you are moving into a new Dubai flat, book its lift before requesting retrieval, because the same process repeats in reverse. You can take the whole vault or selected items; just send their numbers from the inventory.

The crew reassembles the beds and wardrobes it dismantled and clears away the packing. Delivery is not limited to Dubai: we deliver to any emirate, so see furniture storage in Sharjah if your new home is there, or furniture movers in Dubai for a direct move with no storage.

Leaving Dubai? Store now, ship later

You can hand back your flat, fly out and leave the furniture in its vault until you settle. When you send the new address, we ship straight from the warehouse:

  • By road to Saudi Arabia and the rest of the Gulf by truck, the best fit for household furniture; the route is covered in our guide to shipping from the UAE to Saudi Arabia.
  • By sea to more distant destinations.
  • By air for light boxes you need quickly.

For the full process of shipping from Dubai to other places, read furniture moving in and out of Dubai, and for the whole picture across the seven emirates, see the UAE furniture storage guide.

Tips for Dubai residents before storing

  • Apply for the permit early; some managements take days to reply.
  • Leave no food in the kitchen or fridge; empty and dry the fridge a day before.
  • Photograph valuable furniture and any existing scratches before wrapping.
  • Keep gold, papers and cash with you.
  • If you hand over the flat the same day, schedule the landlord’s inspection after the furniture is out, not before.

Frequently asked questions about furniture storage in Dubai

Do you obtain the building move permit for me?

The permit is issued in the resident’s name by building management, so you apply for it, and we immediately send you any company details management requires.

What if the lift is booked for only two hours?

Tell us the slot length, and we add crew and wrap the rooms in advance so the lift time is used for carrying down only.

Will my things be mixed with other customers’ belongings?

No. Each customer’s items go into a wooden vault of their own, with a number recorded in the inventory.

Can I visit my vault?

Yes, by appointment, so the team can bring your vault out and open it in front of you.

I live in a villa in Mirdif. Is the service different?

The steps are the same, but a villa usually needs several vaults and rack space for long pieces, and notifying community security instead of a tower permit.

Can I receive my furniture in another emirate?

Yes. We deliver to any address in the UAE, or ship abroad by road, sea or air.

How much is storage for a one-bedroom flat in Dubai?

Monthly rent starts from AED 920, while collection, packing and delivery are priced according to volume, floor and distance.
