Shipping Company from Sharjah to Jordan +971557643821: Commercial Goods for Traders and Importers plus Pickup Truck Shipping to Zarqa

Shipping Company from Sharjah to Jordan Commercial Goods for Traders and Importers plus Pickup Truck Shipping to Zarqa
Guide summary

Traders' goods shipped on pallets by road from Sharjah to Zarqa and Amman in about 6–9 days, with invoice, certificate of origin and Jordanian approvals handled, plus pickup trucks in enclosed carriers.

If you are a trader or importer looking for a shipping company from Sharjah to Jordan to move mixed goods from a Sharjah warehouse to your store in Zarqa or Amman, the usual route is by road: the goods are loaded on pallets into a closed truck, cross Saudi Arabia in sealed customs transit to the Al Omari border, are cleared by Jordan Customs and delivered in the city. Most loads reach Zarqa and Amman in roughly 6 to 9 days including clearance, provided the commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and the Jordanian importer’s details are ready before loading. At Al Basmah International Shipping we collect from our Industrial Area 18 branch in Sharjah or straight from your warehouse, ship pickup trucks in enclosed carriers, offer sea freight through Aqaba for full containers, and fly urgent orders to Queen Alia airport.

The Jordanian importer’s file

  • Core papers: a detailed commercial invoice, a packing list with pallet and carton counts and weights, a UAE certificate of origin, and the details of the importer registered in Jordan.
  • The certificate of origin opens the customs-duty exemption under the Greater Arab Free Trade Area, but Jordan’s general sales tax (16% standard) and other fees still apply.
  • Food, medicines and cosmetics need JFDA approval, many electrical products need JSMO conformity, and wireless devices need approval from the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission.
  • Approximate road times: Zarqa and Amman 6–9 days, Irbid and Mafraq 7–10 days, Aqaba 7–10 days.
  • Pickups travel enclosed, and we check the model and conditions against Jordan’s current rules before booking.

What we ship from Sharjah to Jordan

Sharjah is a wholesale market first and a place to live second, so most of what we load here for Jordan is mixed commercial cargo: a trader in Zarqa who collects an order from several suppliers in the industrial areas and Al Qasimia, or an Amman importer buying spare parts in Sharjah and wanting them in one shipment. We consolidate these orders at our warehouse, check them against the packing list, stack them on pallets and load.

  • Auto spare parts and equipment: filters, tyres, batteries (with suitable packing), engine and body parts.
  • Fabrics, clothing and footwear: wholesale bales and cartons, each numbered and weighed.
  • Household and electrical goods: kitchenware, small appliances, lighting, cables and fittings, which often need Jordanian conformity.
  • Building and finishing materials: sanitary ware, non-hazardous paints, hand tools, shelving and warehouse equipment.
  • Packaged and dry food and cosmetics: once JFDA approval for the item is confirmed before loading.
  • Pickup trucks and light 4x4s: in enclosed carriers, separate from the goods.
  • Furniture and personal effects: we ship these too; the full detail is in the UAE to Jordan shipping guide.

A small consignment of three or four pallets joins a shared truck with other traders and is charged by cubic metre or weight. If your goods fill half a truck or more, or cannot wait, a dedicated truck works out better: it leaves on your date instead of waiting for a full load, and the customs seal covers your goods alone.

Collection areas in Sharjah

We collect anywhere in Sharjah, so traders rarely need to bring goods to our branch. The places we visit most:

  • Industrial Areas 1 to 18: spare-parts, equipment and building-material warehouses, including our branch in Industrial Area 18.
  • Al Saja’a and around it: large warehouses, workshops and heavy goods.
  • Hamriyah Free Zone and Sharjah Airport International Free Zone (SAIF Zone): collected once the free-zone exit formalities are done.
  • Al Qasimia, Abu Shagara and Rolla: wholesale shops for fabrics and household goods.
  • Al Majaz, Al Nahda, Al Taawun, Al Khan and Muwaileh: flats and offices sending belongings or samples.
  • The east coast (Kalba and Khor Fakkan): by agreed collection date.

When you book a collection, send the warehouse pin, the hours you receive trucks, and whether there is a forklift or a loading dock. Those small details decide which vehicle we send: a closed 3-ton dyna for a small order, a 5- or 7-ton dyna, a 10-ton lorry, or a 12–13.6 m closed trailer for a full load.

The road route from Sharjah to Jordan

The truck leaves Sharjah westward on the coastal road to Al Ghuwaifat and enters Saudi Arabia at Al Batha in sealed transit, which means the goods are not cleared in Saudi Arabia and are opened only if inspected. It passes Riyadh, then heads north through Qassim and Al Jouf to Al Haditha, facing Al Omari on the Jordanian side. The whole distance from Sharjah to Amman is roughly 2,400 to 2,600 km.

What matters to a trader here is that transit does not tolerate incomplete papers: the cargo manifest is prepared in the UAE and checked at every border, and any mismatch between the invoice and the truck can stop it. That is why we match cartons and pallets to the packing list before sealing, and never load goods whose papers are not complete. If you also send goods to Saudi Arabia on the same road, see the Sharjah to Saudi Arabia guide.

Transit times from Sharjah to Jordanian cities

The times below are approximate, from the warehouse door in Sharjah to the receiver’s door in Jordan, including clearance. A shared truck leaves once it is full, which can add a day or two; a dedicated truck leaves on the date you choose.

City Approximate road time Note for traders
Amman 6–9 days Warehouses on the outskirts are easier than inner districts
Zarqa and Salt 6–9 days Zarqa sits near the entry road and its warehouses take large trucks
Irbid and Mafraq 7–10 days Mafraq is on the way in from Al Omari, Irbid lies further north
Madaba and Karak 7–10 days Goods may move to a smaller truck for the last leg
Aqaba 7–10 days by road Full containers can go by sea straight to Aqaba port

Air freight from Sharjah to Jordan

When a customer in Amman runs out of stock and cannot wait a week, or the order is samples or small high-value parts, air freight from Sharjah airport (or Dubai or Abu Dhabi) to Queen Alia International Airport in Amman delivers in roughly 2 to 4 days door to door including clearance. Air clearance needs the same papers as road: invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, importer details and approvals where required.

  • Price is by actual or volumetric weight, whichever is higher; volumetric = L × W × H in cm ÷ 6000.
  • A 60×40×40 cm carton weighing 8 kg is charged as 16 kg volumetric, so tighter packing saves money.
  • Lithium batteries, liquids and perfumes are restricted by air, and furniture and heavy pallets do not suit it.

Preparing commercial goods and palletising

Mixed cargo is usually damaged by poor stacking, not by the road. The truck covers thousands of kilometres and bumps through border yards, and a leaning pallet comes apart before Riyadh. This is how we work:

  • Heavy at the bottom, light on top, and no pallet stacked too high to stay stable.
  • The whole pallet shrink-wrapped with straps, and cardboard corner guards on the edges.
  • Receiver name, city and pallet number out of the total on two sides, for example: Zarqa — 3 of 8.
  • Every pallet number matches a line on the packing list showing item, quantity and weight.
  • Glass and sanitary ware wrapped in foam and placed in wooden crates or heavy-duty cartons.
  • In winter we cover the load against rain at unloading; Amman and Zarqa get rain, and Amman sometimes snow.

Documents needed for shipping to Jordan

Jordan Customs clears goods electronically, and clearance moves quickly when the papers arrive complete and consistent. By shipment type:

Commercial goods

  • Commercial invoice: in the Jordanian importer’s name, describing each item, quantity, unit price, total value and country of origin.
  • Packing list: number of pallets and cartons with gross and net weight for each.
  • Certificate of origin: from the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry to prove UAE origin, which is what allows the duty exemption under the Greater Arab Free Trade Area. Goods made outside the UAE do not get this exemption just because they were shipped from it.
  • Jordanian importer’s details: a company or establishment registered in Jordan and eligible to import, with its customs number. A trader without a registration imports through a registered importer or a customs broker.
  • Prior approvals: JFDA for food, medicines and cosmetics; JSMO for many electrical and electronic products and toys; the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission for wireless devices.

After clearance, the general sales tax (16% standard, with different rates for some items) is paid along with service fees, even when the goods are exempt from customs duty. Build this into your landed cost before you price for your customers.

Used personal effects

A Jordanian returning after living abroad for more than 12 months can usually bring in used personal effects once per family with an exemption, presenting a passport copy, proof of ending residence in the UAE such as the cancelled residence, a detailed contents list and the family book. Non-Jordanians, new items and anything that looks like commercial quantity are dutiable. The team checks your case before shipping, and we do not promise an exemption before that.

Cars

Ownership papers, the UAE export certificate with plate cancellation, the owner’s passport, and a car empty of belongings. Jordan sets conditions on imported cars and taxes that vary by engine and fuel type, so we check your car’s model year and conditions against Jordan’s current rules before any booking.

Shipping pickup trucks from Sharjah to Jordan

Pickups are in demand in Jordan for work, farms and distribution, and many traders buy them from Sharjah showrooms and ship them alongside their goods. We move them in enclosed car carriers, away from desert dust and gravel, with the wheels strapped to the carrier deck. The pickup bed must be completely empty: no goods and no tools, because customs treats the vehicle as a vehicle only and any cargo in it holds up its clearance. Goods go in their truck, the pickup in its carrier.

  • We photograph the vehicle from every side before loading and send you the photos on WhatsApp.
  • About a quarter tank of fuel, and removable accessories taken off.
  • Send us the ownership card so we can check the model and specification before you cancel the plates.

Prohibited and restricted items for Jordan

  • Prohibited: narcotics, weapons and ammunition without permits, counterfeit goods carrying fake trademarks, gambling equipment.
  • Needs a prior permit: drones, some medicines, wireless communication devices.
  • Needs approval before loading: food, cosmetics and supplements, and many electrical products.

Warning: Counterfeit goods do not get through even in small quantities mixed among genuine items; the whole pallet or the whole shipment can be held. If you are unsure about an item, send the team a photo before you pay the supplier.

Shipping prices from Sharjah to Jordan

Shipping to Jordan is not quoted as one fixed figure, because a pallet of light fabric and a pallet of steel parts are not charged the same way. Send the details on WhatsApp and you will receive the price: number of pallets or cartons and rough dimensions, weight, type of goods, collection point in Sharjah, and the Jordanian city. You can also use the quote request form.

What decides the cost?

Factor How it affects the price
Volume in m³ or weight A shared truck charges the higher of the two; small heavy goods go by weight
Shared or dedicated Shared suits small volumes; dedicated pays off near half a truck
City in Jordan Zarqa and Amman are closest; Karak, Madaba and Aqaba may need an extra leg
Goods type and approvals Food and appliances needing approvals add time and fees
Packing and palletising Pallets, shrink wrap and wooden crates are charged by quantity
Documents and clearance Certificate of origin, Jordanian clearance fees and sales tax
Vehicle type Size and weight of the pickup and enclosed carriage

How to ship from Sharjah to Jordan, step by step

  1. Send the goods list, rough weights and the Jordanian city on WhatsApp.
  2. We review the items and tell you if any need Jordanian approval before shipping.
  3. The commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin are prepared, and the Jordanian importer confirms its details.
  4. We collect from your warehouse or you deliver to the Industrial Area 18 branch; we check against the list and palletise.
  5. The truck is sealed and leaves in transit across Saudi Arabia, and you receive loading photos.
  6. The team updates you on WhatsApp at Al Ghuwaifat, Al Haditha, Al Omari and at release.
  7. We agree the unloading time with the receiver and whether workers or a forklift will be there.

Tips for traders before shipping

  • Do not under-declare the invoice value; Jordan Customs compares prices and a gap delays release.
  • Put items that need approval on separate pallets so one item does not hold up the whole load.
  • If you bought from several Sharjah suppliers, consolidate the invoices under one name before loading.
  • Ask the team about optional insurance for high-value goods.
  • Make sure your Jordanian warehouse can take large trucks; otherwise we arrange delivery in a smaller vehicle.

Delivery in Zarqa and across Jordan

Zarqa is the destination most of our traders ask for: a warehouse and industrial city close to Amman, with industrial roads that take trailers. Delivery there is usually straight from the truck to the warehouse after release. Amman is different: the city is built on hills, and streets in areas such as Jabal Amman and Shmeisani are steep and narrow, so for a shop or office inside the neighbourhoods we sometimes move the goods to a smaller truck and finish by hand, after checking access with the receiver. Warehouses on the edges of Amman, such as Abu Nseir and Tabarbour, are easier to reach.

Delivery in Zarqa — from Sharjah
  • Road, sea or air? Road for pallets and medium volumes; sea from Jebel Ali or Khalifa Port to Aqaba for full containers and heavy cargo (about 2–3 weeks sailing, then port handling, clearance and a road leg to the city); air for urgent light goods.
  • Irbid, Mafraq, Jerash and Ajloun: the north is served from the same Al Omari road, about a day more.
  • Madaba, Karak and Aqaba: south of Amman; Aqaba is served by road or directly through its port.
  • Winter: rain in Zarqa and Amman calls for quick unloading and covered pallets; summers are dry.

Frequently asked questions about shipping from Sharjah to Jordan

How long does shipping from Sharjah to Zarqa take?

Roughly 6 to 9 days by road from warehouse door to receiver’s door, including clearance at Al Omari. A shared truck may wait a day or two to fill.

Are UAE goods exempt from customs duty in Jordan?

Goods of proven UAE origin with a certificate of origin usually benefit from the duty exemption under the Greater Arab Free Trade Area, but the general sales tax and other fees still apply. Goods made in another country do not get the exemption.

Do I need a Jordanian registration to receive the goods?

Commercial goods need an importer registered in Jordan, with the invoice in its name. Without one you can import through a registered importer or a customs broker, and the team will explain the options.

Can I ship just two pallets?

Yes. A few pallets join a shared truck, charged by volume or weight, and each pallet is numbered with the receiver’s name.

Do you ship food and cosmetics?

Yes, once JFDA approval for the items is confirmed. We review the list before loading so the shipment is not held at the border.

Can I load goods in the pickup bed?

No. The pickup travels empty in an enclosed carrier and the goods in their own truck. Any cargo inside the vehicle holds up its clearance.

How do I know where the truck is?

The team sends you WhatsApp updates at loading, at the borders, at customs release and before delivery, and you can ask at any time.

When is sea freight via Aqaba the better choice?

When the goods fill a full container or are very heavy and not urgent; sea from Jebel Ali or Khalifa Port to Aqaba takes about 2–3 weeks sailing, then clearance and the road leg.
